The breakfast was fantastic and gorgeous, overall food was delicious. I was offered a room with lovely views over the mountains. Its location was favourable, really close to many major attractions like many temples, the market and restaurants, and many temples, shrines and the shopping area.

The granbell provides a very comfortable superior king room perfect for couples. The public bath is amazing after long days of exploring. The women's amenities were a nice touch with quality skincare products. It's also conveniently located near restaurants.

Had a fairly nice stay, the hotel is chic.

The location was marvellous and fab, at a walking distance from a Maruyama park. Besides, it was next to the main shopping street and subway station, the local metro stations and the common areas, including the Onsen soaking pools on the basement level. The room was impeccably clean and fancy, with a private bathroom. The breakfast in the restaurant was incredible and lovely.

A hidden gem in Gion

Strolling through the serene streets of Gion, I stumbled upon this hotel, a retreat that melded traditional comforts with modern touches. The onsen was the perfect end to my day.

While the room felt a bit cramped for my family of three, we managed well with the great amenities available in the lobby and the friendly staff's assistance.

Consider requesting cotton bedding in advance if you have allergies. It's not automatic but the staff is very accommodating.

I loved starting my mornings with a peaceful stroll along the Kamo River and then immersing myself in the lively atmosphere just steps away at Hanamikoji Street. The breakfast options were varied and delicious, fueling me for long days of sightseeing.

My room, the Superior King Room, had a king bed that stretched from wall to wall, perfect for a comfy night's sleep. The view from the window was a nice touch. I loved the public bath. It was a fantastic way to unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, ready to assist with recommendations and reservations. Breakfast offered a great mix of Western and Japanese dishes, and I particularly enjoyed the pastries. The location was excellent, just a short walk from many local attractions and restaurants. The vibe was relaxing despite minor issues was great.

The room feels quite small, similar in size to other urban accommodations I encountered in Japan. Housecleaning only happens every four days, which seems a bit of a stretch these days. I chose not to try breakfast because it looked overpriced compared to nearby cafes, but there's plenty of options nearby if you want something different.

The hotel blends charm with a great central location. Staff offered really good hospitality, and the public bath facilities were good. The room felt a bit cramped and lacked ample storage, which was a drawback during the stay.
